New member of BTS on army

Military service is a mandatory requirement in South Korea for all men between the ages of 18 and 28. Although some changes have been made in recent years, such as reducing the period of service from 21 to 18 months, all men are still expected to fulfill this obligation.

Recently, J-Hope, one of the members of the popular boy band BTS, surprised his fans with a drastic change of look. The rapper, who will soon train as a soldier, appeared in a live broadcast with short hair, which anticipates how he will look like when he has to enlist in the Army. BTS's agency confirmed that Jung Hoseok will serve as an active soldier, although the exact date when he will start his military service has not yet been announced.

It is important to note that J-Hope is not the first BTS member to serve the military draft. Jin, the eldest member of the group, began his military service in December 2022 and is expected to last around 18 months. Although this means that Jin will be away from his fans for a while, he has expressed his desire to fulfill this obligation and serve his country.

It is common for new recruits to have their hair cut short as part of their training and adaptation to the military environment. This haircut is considered a sort of initiation ritual for new soldiers and represents a new beginning in their lives.

For BTS fans, it may be difficult to accept that their idols must temporarily step away from the public eye to fulfill this obligation. However, it is important to remember that military service is a civic and patriotic obligation in South Korea, and that all men must fulfill it, regardless of whether they are celebrities or not.

We hope that both J-Hope and Jin are able to complete their military service safely and successfully, and that they return soon to continue delighting their fans with their music and talent.
